Quotes that turn into sales
A good quote closes the sale; a slow or confusing one hands it to the competition. Five ideas to get yours accepted.

When a customer asks for a quote they have already decided to buy. What they are deciding now is who from. Speed and clarity matter as much as price.
Five ideas
- Send it the same day. A quote that arrives three days later arrives late.
- One line per thing. Product, labour and shipping apart: the customer understands what they pay for.
- With an expiry date. Fifteen or thirty days. It adds urgency without pressure and protects you from price changes.
- With clear taxes. Say whether the price includes them. No surprise at the end.
- Make accepting easy. If accepting turns it into an order without retyping anything, you save time and avoid mistakes.

Follow up
A short message three days later ("did you get a chance to look at it? can I help with anything?") wins back many quotes that would have been lost to forgetfulness, not to price.
